AI and electromobility on the rise

electronica 2024 in Munich offered an exciting cross-section of the electronics industry: With over 80,000 visitors from more than 100 countries and around 3,500 exhibitors, the trade fair was once again an international meeting place for technological trends and new developments. Companies from Asia were particularly well represented - a sign of the growing dynamism in global competition.

    Technology trends and impulses

The clear focal points included topics such as artificial intelligence, electromobility, renewable energies and automation. Companies from these areas attracted a great deal of interest. The demand for specialised solutions for edge computing and sensor technologies was clearly noticeable.

    Challenges for traditional providers

At the same time, it became clear that those who did not present any innovations or only exhibited standard products had a harder time. Exhibitors from areas such as passive components or simple connection solutions received less attention. The exhibition hall in which the Vogt AG stand was located was also affected by this. In addition, overlapping dates with other trade fairs and rising trade fair costs led to criticism among exhibitors.

The trade fair appearance of Vogt AG

electronica 2024 was informative for Vogt AG in several respects. Although the number of customer contacts recorded was lower than two years ago, the quality of many discussions was impressive. Numerous customers showed interest in customised connection solutions - far beyond the familiar range of tabs and ferrules. The trade fair stand was used extensively, both for technical discussions and for dialogue with long-standing wholesalers.

A recurring pattern emerged: many visitors were not yet familiar with Vogt AG as a comprehensive solution provider for tube, wire, sheet metal and hybrid parts. The positive feedback when highlighting these competences confirms the chosen trade fair focus: creating more visibility for the entire range of services.

Conclusion: A trade fair between focus and diversity

electronica 2024 has made it clear that the industry is strongly orientated towards megatrends. Nevertheless, the demand for reliable, high-quality connection solutions remains. For Vogt AG, this offers precisely this opportunity: with technical expertise, customer proximity and a broad manufacturing spectrum, we continue to position ourselves as a reliable partner for individual challenges.

Vogt AG will once again be part of electronica in 2026 - to show what CREATING CONNECTIONS means for our customers.
