Plastic injection moulding

Three different electronic components with plastic housings and integrated metal contacts, against a blue background. The components are parts for sensors, signal transmission or plug connections in electronic applications.

Efficient production of plastic parts and hybrid solutions

The manufacture of plastic parts is playing an increasingly important role in our production. Overmoulded tubular and stamped parts in particular are gaining in importance as they offer high precision and stability. At the same time, pure plastic products also make a decisive contribution to our versatile product portfolio. We use innovative production techniques to continuously optimise the quality and efficiency of our plastic and hybrid solutions.

  • Close-up of coloured plastic granulate in various colours such as red, yellow, blue, green and white, which is used as a raw material for plastics processing. The pieces of granulate are irregularly shaped and look recycled.

    Plastics

    Material Polypropylene up to Polyetherimid
    Part weight 0.02 up to 200 g
Closing force 25 up to 80 to
  • Silver-coloured wire-end ferrules with red insulating collars lined up in a production process and emerging precisely from a machine in several rows. The photo shows the automated production of the ferrules.

    Overmoulding of metal parts

We overmould all metal parts on rotary tables, cassette insert moulds or fully automatic systems.

  • An employee is looking at two monitors with CAD software, one showing a mould flow simulation with coloured flow analyses, the other a 3D model of a component. The scene shows digital planning and analysis in plastic injection moulding.

Our toolmaking department is involved in feasibility studies and in perfecting the plastic parts for series production.

We process thermoplastics and thermoplastic elastomers such as:

  • Polyamide (PA)
  • Polycarbonate (PC)
  • Polypropylene (PP)
  • Polystyrene (PS)
  • Polyphenylene sulphide (PPS)
  • Polyethylene terephthalate (PET)
  • Polyetherimides (PEI)
  • Liquid crystal polymer (LCP)

Applications

  • Mounted assembly of a white plastic fastening lever, consisting of several interlocking individual parts with swivel joint function. Technical labelling with serial number and article number is printed on the upper part of the lever.

    Mounting lever PPS

Vogt AG Verbindungstechnik manufactured high-precision fastening levers made of PPS plastic for the Extremely Large Telescope (ELT) in Chile for the FAMES Consortium.

  • 3D rendering of a black plastic assembly with an integrated gold-coloured contact surface, developed for use as a sound transducer or sensor. The assembly has a round central receptacle and two rectangular plug-in connections.

    Assembly group

Precision assembly with gold-plated and corrosion-protected components for transducers used in HB-Therm temperature control units

  • 3D representation of a two-part black contact sleeve with gold-plated plug contacts, in an exploded view pulled apart. The components are aligned so that their fit and electrical connection points are easily recognisable.

    Contact sleeve

Contact sleeve for total stations, offering reliable performance and robust construction for demanding and precise surveying tasks in the field

  • Black plastic plug for connection to a hydraulic valve, with rectangular housing shape, two mounting holes and integrated plug connection for electrical connection.

    Special plug

Vogt contact plugs are used in hydraulic applications, particularly in outdoor environments where durability and reliability are essential.
