Strong connection for green giants
When we talk about electromobility, many people immediately think of compact city runabouts or elegant business vehicles. But there is another way - and above all bigger. The innovative company E-Force One from central Switzerland impressively demonstrates how electric drives can revolutionise freight transport.
The all-electric e-trucks have been specially developed for demanding everyday transport operations and set new standards in terms of economy and sustainability. From an annual mileage of just 50,000 kilometres, the E-Force is more economical than a conventional diesel truck - with zero emissions!
At the heart of the 18-tonne truck is a powerful LiFEPO4 battery with a capacity of 2 x 120 kWh. This gives the truck an impressive range of 200 to 350 kilometres, depending on the application profile. The battery is fully recharged in just six hours and ready for the next job.
A crucial detail is hidden inside the battery: a flat connector that was specially developed for this project, completely "swiss made" by Vogt AG Verbindungstechnik in Lostorf. This high-performance connection component ensures safe and efficient power transmission in the high-load range and fulfils the highest standards of quality and reliability.
This partnership between E-Force One and Vogt AG demonstrates how Swiss innovative strength is opening up new avenues in heavy goods transport.
