    For several years now, Vogt AG Verbindungstechnik has been manufacturing an assembly for DOMOTEC that is installed in the DomoClick® system.


    The DomoClick® system enables a quick, secure and standardised connection of heating tapes. Installation requires few tools and can be completed in just a few steps.


    Trace heating tapes ensure that pipes are kept at the correct temperature (Therma-Protect), prevent frost damage (Frost-Protect) and ice formation (Ice-Protect). They make a significant contribution to operational safety in buildings.

  • Two red clamping bars for a heating tape connection system are arranged side by side, photographed from above and from below respectively. Metallic phase conductors and clamping elements are visible in the top view, revealing the internal contact points.

  • The components manufactured by Vogt, consisting of an injection-moulded plastic clamping bar and stamped phase conductors, form a central part of the DomoClick® system.


    A polyamide reinforced with 35% glass fibre was used for the clamping bar, which is characterised by very high strength and stiffness. The material is flame-retardant, has good chemical resistance and excellent wear and sliding properties.


    The nickel-plated bronze phase conductors fitted into the crimping bar offer good corrosion protection, which is of great importance for this application. The phase conductors are complex stamped and bent parts, which Vogt manufactures in its own stamping workshop. In this assembly, the phase conductors are assembled man

    ually, which is two-thirds cheaper than manufacturing using a complex insert moulding tool.
